Request Your Rights – Techscan Privacy Portal

Welcome to the communication channel specially developed so that YOU, as a DATA SUBJECT, can request your rights, in accordance with the General Data Protection Law ("LGPD") - Law No. 13,709/2018.

We inform you that your requests will be provided free of charge, preferably electronically, through this channel, within the deadlines defined by the LGPD or subsequently regulated by the National Data Protection Authority ("ANPD").

1. What is the LGPD?

The LGPD is the General Data Protection Law, established at the federal level by Law No. 13,709/2018, which came into effect in September 2020. The purpose of this law is to establish rules that promote the protection of personal data of individuals, as well as other rights such as freedom and privacy. These rules must be observed and complied with throughout the entire life cycle of personal data, from the moment it is collected until its deletion.

2. What is personal data?

Personal data is information related to an identified or identifiable natural person. Examples of personal data include name, address, email, phone number and CPF (Brazilian ID number).

3. What is sensitive personal data?

The LGPD introduces a special category of personal data known as sensitive personal data, which are data that, particularly if used incorrectly, may generate some form of discrimination, including: personal data on racial or ethnic origin, religious conviction, political opinion, trade union membership or membership in religious, philosophical or political organizations, health or sexual life data, genetic or biometric data, when linked to a natural person.

4. Who are the data subjects?

According to the LGPD, a data subject is the natural person (= individual) to whom the personal data being processed refers.

5. Who is the data protection officer?

The data protection officer, i.e., the person responsible for Data Protection within a company, is the same as a DPO (Data Protection Officer). Regardless of the nomenclature used, this is the person designated to act as the responsible party for the communication channel between the company, data subjects and the National Data Protection Authority (ANPD).

6. Who are the data processing agents?

According to the LGPD, personal data processing can be carried out by two processing agents: the controller and the processor. The controller is responsible for making decisions regarding the processing of personal data. Thus, TECHSCAN acts as a Data Controller. The processor is the natural or legal person, whether public or private, that processes personal data on behalf of the controller.

7. What are my rights? And how can I request them from TECHSCAN?
